August 2025 Harvest Parties:
Garlic Party: Monday, August 4th from 9:30 to 12:30
We’ll be bringing in the garlic harvest before the rain starts. This will involve digging the garlic with a pitchfork, tying it in bundles, and hanging it up to cure inside.
All volunteers will get take to take home plenty of garlic for their own eating! The rest of the garlic will be cured at the farm for use in the CSA boxes and for planting next year’s garlic crop.
General Harvest Party: Thursday, August 14th from 9:30 to 12:30
It was a hit last year and it should be just as fun this time around! We’ll be harvesting beans, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, basil, flowers and more!
Once the harvest is complete, we’ll divvy up what we’ve picked and you will get to take home lots of tasty produce and a bouquet. If you’re a keen canner on a budget, this might just be the event for you! Any leftovers will go to the farm stand or be donated in the community!

Notes for both events:
There is limited shade in the farm field and harvesting tasking may include bending over/kneeling to pick produce at ground level. The ground is also rough is places and some pathways are quite narrow. If you have any specific accessibility questions, please feel free to reach out and I’ll be happy to send you more info!
If you’re (potentially) sick or have been exposed to someone who might be contagious, please stay home and help keep everyone in our farm community safe!
Rake and Radish is a queer farm! All are welcome to join in, knowing that this is a space that centres queer and trans experiences.
The farm is located on Cordova Bay Rd, near the corner with Blenkinsop.
